COMPETITION RULES - “WIN A WII”
The Company BIC UK Ltd., limited liability company, the registered office of which is at Chaplin House, Widewater Place, Moorhall Road Harefield, Middlesex UB9 6NS (“BIC”), is organizing a free competition (free to enter, with no obligation to purchase) called “Win a Wii” and accessible via the following website www.biclegends.com.
The closing date for receipt of entries is Midnight 31st August 2008. Any entries received after that date and time will not be entered into the competition.
The competition is open to all UK and Ireland residents over the age of 16 years except corporate representatives and employees of BIC UK Ltd or any BIC Group Company or anyone involved in creating, implementing, administrating or monitoring the competition, or any members of their respective families.
Participants can enter the competition simply by completing and submitting the entry form online before the closing date.
There is a limit of one entry per person. Spammers and entries received by bulk will be disqualified.
No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost through technical fault, incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.
2.2.Proof of eligibility
BIC reserves the right to require participants to provide proof of their eligibility to participate in the competition. Persons not fulfilling these conditions or that refuse to provide proof of their eligibility to participate will be automatically excluded from the competition and, should they win, not be eligible to claim any prize or benefit.
A person is identified by the last name, first name, postal address and email address provided by this person. In the event of a dispute, these elements shall be deemed authentic.
BIC reserves the right to undertake such enquiries as are reasonably necessary to confirm eligibility of a participant in accordance with article 2.1.
2.3. Non compliant participation
BIC reserves the right to exclude any participant, at any time and without prior notice, if that participant has acted in breach of these rules or failed to meet the criteria for eligibility set out above.
2.4. Entry restrictions
Participation is only possible using the electronic form available online at www.biclegends.com. Registration via telephone, fax, post or email will not be accepted.

These details are necessary for the purpose of the competition and every participant must complete the form.
Delayed entries, entries in the incorrect format or entries submitted by bulk competition entry organisations on an entrant's behalf will not be accepted. Entries cannot be returned.
Article 3. Principle of the competition – Communication of results – Description of prizes
3.1. The winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries in a computerised competition (with the use of a computer program that contains a random code that will decide the name of the winners). The competition will take place on the 1st of September 2008
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
3.2. Details of the winners’ names and town/county will be posted on www.biclegends.com for a period of six (6) weeks as from 15th September 2008.
Entrants agree that, by entering the competition, if they win, the promoter shall have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, town of residence and photograph for the purposes of announcing the winners of the competition and for any publicity generated as a result of the Competition, on websites, magazines or mobile services at any time.
3.3. Prizes will be as follows :

Article 4. Delivery of prizes
Winners will be notified by email by 2nd September 2008. Winners have five (5) business working days from this date to respond to the email and provide full details as requested in the email or another winner will be drawn at random. Delivery of prizes will be arranged by courier or by post within four (4) weeks of the date of the competition.
Article 5. Intellectual property
The reproduction, the representation or exploitation of all or any part of the elements (graphics, etc.) making up the competition or site is strictly forbidden. Any simple, figurative, semis-figurative trademarks, graphics, product names are trademarks, graphics or products names that have been registered by their respective owners.
Any exploitation of these elements, by any means whatsoever, is protected by intellectual property laws.
Article 6. Personal data
Any personal information communicated by the participants to BIC during the competition will be subject to data processing in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, participants have the right to access, rectify or delete their personal details.
Participants may exercise their rights free of charge by making a request in writing sent by post to BIC at the address set out in Article 9 of the present regulations (postage costs will be reimbursed on request at the standard non urgent rate).
Personal information will be exclusively used by BIC which undertakes not to share any personal information with third parties.
By submitting an entry, entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agreed to allow BIC to process and deal with the personal information that they supply on the entry form for the purposes of:
Article 7. Liability
BIC reserves the right to cancel, change, shorten or extend the present competition should circumstances outside its control require it to do so and BIC accepts no liability as a consequence.
BIC will not be held liable should there be a technical incident that prevents a participant connecting or that leads to the loss, delay, dispatch to the wrong address or incomplete registration of a participant’s e-mail data.
BIC will not be held liable in relation to any incorrect or inaccurate information that may be caused either by users of the web site or by any hardware or programme related to the organisation of the present competition.
BIC will not be held liable should the site be unavailable for the period of the competition or should the addresses given by the participants be destroyed for a reason that cannot be imputed to it.
BIC will not be held liable should there be a technical incident related to the use of a participant’s computer hardware, his or her internet access or indeed any other technical incident.
Participating in the competition implies a knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limitations of the internet, notably in relation to technical performance, response times for consulting, querying or transferring information, the risks of interruptions and more generally the risks inherent in any connection or transmission via internet, the absence of protection against misappropriation in respect of data and the risks of contamination by any viruses circulating on the network.
It is the responsibility of any participant to take all the appropriate measures to protect his or her own data and / or any software held on his or her hardware against any attack.
Similarly BIC will not be held liable should a participant have been interrupted or should his or her participation have not been taken into account as a result of any incident relating to telephone lines.
BIC reserves the right to permanently exclude any person from the competition who through fraudulent behaviour harms the proper operation of the competition. In addition the sponsorship of fictitious persons will lead to the person responsible and any persons sponsored being immediately eliminated from the competition.
Article 8. Exclusion of Participants
BIC may cancel the participation or participations of any entrant who breaches the present rules. The participation may be cancelled at any time without prior notice. BIC also has the right to delete any registration form that presents obvious errors with regard to the participant’s identity. The form may be deleted at any time and without prior notice.
Article 9. Acceptance – Lodging – Modification of the regulations
By participating in the competition, entrants are deemed to have accepted these rules and the decision of BIC in relation to any dispute that may arise concerning the interpretation and application of the rules.

Article 10. Claims
No claims of any kind will be accepted after a period of one month from the closure of the session under consideration.
If the information communicated by the participant makes it impossible to inform him or her of the win or to send it to him or her, he or she will lose the status of winner and may make no further claims.
Article 11. Applicable Legislation and Disputes
The present regulations are governed by the law of United Kingdom.
Should one or more provisions in the present regulations be declared null and void or unenforceable, the other clauses will retain their full force and scope.
Any dispute arising from this competition will be subject to efforts to settle out of court. Should no agreement be reached, the dispute will be submitted to the competent jurisdiction for the registered office of the organising company, unless any public order provisions to the contrary exist.
No further challenges will be admissible one month after the closure of the competition.
COMPETITION RULES - “LOCAL LEGENDS”
Article 1. Organiser
The Company BIC UK Ltd., limited liability company, the registered office of which is at Chaplin House, Widewater Place, Moorhall Road Harefield, Middlesex UB9 6NS (“BIC”), is organizing a free competition (free to enter, with no obligation to purchase) called “Local Legends” and accessible via the following website www.biclegends.com.
Article 2. Competition entry
Article 2.1. Conditions of entry / Entry restrictions
The competition is open to all UK and Ireland residents over the age of 16 years except corporate representatives and employees of BIC UK Ltd or any BIC Group Company or anyone involved in creating, implementing, administrating or monitoring the competition, or any members of their respective families.
Internet users can nominate a Local Legend by sending an email to a friend they want to nominate as a Local Legend through the internet website www.biclegends.com before 23rd August 2008.
The Internet user can upload a picture on the website in order to illustrate the Legend. He guarantees that he is the author of said picture and guarantees to detain the whole rights needed for the reproduction and diffusion of said picture by BIC for the competition on the website www.biclegends.com, during the competition and 6 months after the term of the competition. The Internet user has namely the obligation to obtain the prior consent of any recognisable person on the picture to reproduce and diffuse said picture on the website as mentioned here-above. Otherwise, the entry cannot be accepted. The Internet user therefore guarantees to indemnify BIC against and in respect of any claim and any other action, arising out or in any way connected with the picture.
When receiving the email, the nominated Local Legend (or “participant”, or “entrant”) will have the possibility to give the authorization for being contacted on behalf of BIC and enter the competition by replying to the email (see article 3).
There is a limit of one entry per person. Spammers and entries received by bulk will be disqualified.

3.2. Local Legends will be selected by BIC on the criteria that the submitted stories are judged by BIC entertaining, amusing or inspiring. The applicants selected by BIC will be contacted for a short interview that will be used to produce a Local Legend profile for publishing on www.biclegends.com. Each applicant will be required to give consent to this profile appearing on this site before they are published.
3.3. The Local Legends selected by BIC will be submitted to public voting only on www.biclegends.com.
3.4. Voting will close on the 31st of August 2008. No vote will be counted after that date.
3.5. The winning applicant will be the applicant with the highest rating on www.biclegends.com at the end of the period of voting.
3.6. Details of the winner’s name and county will be posted on www.biclegends.com for a period of six (6) weeks as from 1st September 2008.
